Kelly Clarkson took her adorable 8-year-old daughter River Rose to the 2022 People’s Choice Awards.
The mother and daughter had a rare public outing together as they walked the red carpet and sat in the audience at the star-studded event on Dec. 6 at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
Clarkson and River Rose stopped on the red carpet to take a photo with “Law & Order: SVU” actress Mariska Hargitay.
Later, when they were inside at the awards show, they took a picture with Shania Twain. The moment was a perfect example of the country star’s famous catchphrase, “Let’s go, girls!”
While accepting the People’s Choice Award for her daytime talk show “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” Clarkson said she and River Rose were “on a date” while her 6-year-old son Remington Alexander was “not feeling well” at home.
While River Rose cheered from her seat, Clarkson thanked her fans for voting for her for the last 20 years, from “American Idol” to today, saying,
This is very important to me because this is why I have an entire career.
The “Since U Been Gone” singer ended by saying,
gonna go have ice cream with my baby girl.
Clarkson has River Rose and Remington Alexander with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
