Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 18: A Brief Recap
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 18 began with Yuji lost in his thoughts while wandering somewhere. The scene switches to Nanami, who encounters a group of cursed spirits, but he does not give up and fights them heroically. While fighting them, Nanami expresses his desire to read the books he purchased that continued to pile up, along with his exhaustion. When Nanami has finished executing all the cursed spirits, he faces Mahito and realizes the end is approaching. Yuji arrives just in time but fails to save Nanami from Mahito. Nanami urges Yuji to take care of everything seconds before Mahito kills him.
Yuji fights Mahito but faces the challenge of defeating him. During the fight, Mahito reminds Yuji that they are the same and that if he does not accept this truth, he will never be able to defeat him. Mahito says he has a backup plan in case things don’t go as planned, and we watch him split into two beings. One of the clones is fighting Yuji, while the other is fighting Nobara. The chapter ends with Mahito intending to kill Nobara and then bring her corpse to Yuji to shatter his spirit.
