Candace Cameron Bure vs. JoJo Siwa goes on. The feud between JoJo Siwa and Candace Cameron Bure that we didn’t think we needed but is keeping us interested in the news has a new twist: JoJo Siwa has said that she has no plans to talk to Candace Cameron Bure ever again.
Siwa, who is 19 years old, talked to People about her relationship with Bure on Sunday, November 20, at Disney+’s Elton John Live: Farewell from Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
We have not [talked], and I don’t think we ever will again,
she said of Bure, referring to their most recent clash after Bure’s controversial comments about “traditional marriage.”
Siwa continued,
As I’m getting older, I’m starting to realize what an impact I really do get to have. I think that’s a really cool position to be in. I am being honest and maybe being a little disruptive to somebody’s life, but it’s what I believe in. And so to have good people stand behind you with it felt really nice.
In a TikTok post from the summer, the judge from So You Think You Can Dance said that Bure was the rudest celebrity she had ever met. After a phone call, she apologized to the Full House star. However, the feud resurfaced last week after Bure discussed her Christmas movies in an interview with the Great American Family network.
I think that Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the core,
Bure told The Wall Street Journal last week.
My heart wants to tell stories that have more meaning and purpose and depth behind them. I knew that the people behind Great American Family were Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment,
she said.
Siwa replied to Bure’s words on Instagram. In 2021, Siwa came out as gay.
Honestly, I can’t believe after everything that went down just a few months ago, that she would not only create a movie with intention of excluding LGBTQIA+, but then also talk about it in the press. This is rude and hurtful to a whole community of people,
she wrote.
