Jack Ryan Season 3 release date has not been announced by Amazon but there are a lot of plot details about the show that are already out. John Krasinski will once again return for the titular role based on Tom Clancy’s books and portray the character of CIA analyst Jack Ryan. The third season of Jack Ryan was renewed months ago but the actual production work has to be started.
There are some plot points confirmed to feature in season 3 of Amazon Original Jack Ryan TV series based on the previous installment. Many of the fans are also worried that the Coronavirus pandemic can delay the premiere date of Jack Ryan Season 3 and here are more updates on the show.
Jack Ryan Season 3 Plot Updates and Confirmed Things
Jack Ryan Season 3 could feature the return of Jack’s love interest Dr. Cathy Mueller (Abbie Cornish) who was totally absent in the second season. While the current version of Jack Ryan doesn’t have much of a love life, there are instances in the books where Cathy has been kidnapped by the bad guys. There are rumors that many of the older villains will return to take revenge against Jack and it hints that Abbie Cornish will be back for Jack Ryan Season 3.
James Greer (Wendell Pierce) will have a totally different role in the third season of Jack Ryan after the events of last season. There is no way Greer would partner Jack on new missions given his physical conditions and mental trauma he has suffered. There are fan theories claiming that James Greer will be promoted to a desk job and help Jack from the office.
Jack Ryan Season 3 will have a bigger role for Mike November (Michael Kelly) as he would be the new partner of Jack. Mike played an important part in Jack Ryan Season 2 and even stopped Jack from shooting a president of the foreign nation in the head. Jack will definitely need a new partner after the retirement of James Greer and Mike November is the perfect candidate.
Jack Ryan Season 3 Release Date and Coronavirus Impact
Jack Ryan Season 3 was renewed officially in February 2019 and currently, it is in early production stages. John Krasinski and the new showrunner are working on the scripts right now and it will take at least a year for the filming to complete.

The Coronavirus pandemic has shutdown production globally but that won’t affect Jack Ryan Season 3 as the shooting won’t start for another two to three months. Hopefully, the Covid-19 outbreak is controlled soon and Jack Ryan and other TV series can release on their previous schedule.
