Hollywood actor Johnny Depp is a proud father of two- Lily-Rose Depp and Jack Depp. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor, who was in the headlines last year for his defamation suit against Amber Heard, has two kids from his longtime ex-girlfriend Vanessa Paradis. While Lily-Rose Depp has followed in her famous father’s footsteps into Hollywood, little is known about her little brother Jack.
While interviewed by Keira Knightley for Interview magazine in 2021, Jack’s sister sweetly revealed that they used to use French as a “secret language” at school in America.
At the start of his defamation trial in April 2022, Johnny Depp said he needed to “clear the record” for his children: Lily-Rose and Jack.

Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis’s youngest son was born on April 9, 2022. His real name is John Jack Christopher Depp III and is more commonly known as Jack Depp. He is 21 years old and was born and raised in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. Jack has successfully evaded the limelight, while his elder sister Lily-Rose Depp has made her way into the Hollywood industry. Their mother, Vanessa had said in an interview in 2007 that she didn’t want their young kids to be forced into sharing the media attention until they’re ready for it.
“Now I indeed keep them away from the cameras, because I don’t want our children to be forced to share in our fame against their will. They didn’t ask for that. Not yet. The day that they will decide for themselves to do things that might bring them into the spotlights, then I won’t stop them.”
She added that raising the kids in France was an intentional decision.
“For my children I secretly choose France. Even though Los Angeles is great too. We raise them bilingually anyway, so for them it doesn’t really matter. Only, in the south of France you can live much more anonymously. And that’s a bliss, especially when the children are still young.”
Both siblings Lily and Jack are pretty close. In an interview, Lily revealed that she and her brother would speak to each other in French when they were in school in the US.
Even though their father’s highly publicized breakup with Vanessa Paradis and his subsequent marriage to Amber Heard caused much controversy, the siblings have remained steadfast in their love for one another.
Their unwavering love and support for one another is a testament to the strength of their sibling bond.
“When my brother and I were at the same school, whenever we wanted to say something that was going to stay just between us, we could say it in French and nobody would understand.”
Jack, who tends to keep his private life out of the public eye, has often been spotted supporting his sister at her modeling gigs and events.
On Jack’s 18th birthday, his sister Lily shared an Instagram post wishing him and expressing her love for her baby brother. She captioned it-
“My little baby Jackie is 18🥺My baby bro my heart and soul happy birthday I love you SO MUCH!”

While the Edward Scissorhands actor has strayed away from discussing his kids’ personal lives in public, he certainly has expressed the love he has for them. Depp disclosed to Rolling Stones in 2013 that his kids feel loved and secure.
“With my kids, they’re told 75 times a day that they’re loved. One thing I know is they feel loved and secure and happy and needed and necessary and a part of something.”
Jack Depp has taken after his parents’ artistic skills and is known to draw and sing well. However, his father, Johnny Depp, is glad to learn that Jack has no interest in joining the acting industry.
“My boy Jack … draws really super well. He also plays music very well. He’s got a good feel for that. Aside from school plays and things, he hasn’t shown any desire to become an actor. Whew!”

The star kid is hardly ever seen or papped in public by the paparazzi. However, a handful of times when he has been spotted by the media, he’s seen hanging out with his friends or girlfriend. In August 2020, Jack Depp was photographed in public with his model girlfriend, Camille Jansen in the UK. Both Jack and Camille have kept their personal lives low-key.
