The U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement confirmed that over 500 migrants were released by the government this Wednesday. This came as a result of the failure of the administration to detain the illegal immigrants who were alleged to cross the Mexican border.

Other mass releases followed the Wednesday release as a lot of public care agencies pursued the government to release all the migrant families who were being detained longer than allowed. As per the current statistics, 186 migrants were released on the Christmas day. Some 400 more releases happened in the couple of days which followed.

One of the members of the Annunciation House, which is the shelter house for refugees, Ruben Garcia said that more releases will follow in the upcoming days.

ICE has directly blamed the US Congress for its inability to remove the illegally migrated families from the US. Ruben said that they are getting some 2000 migrants every week now.
