Hunter x Hunter was slated to release eight seasons, and it was never planned to be canceled. But the problem was that the anime reached the manga very soon. The makers didn’t have the material to adapt the anime series. Furthermore, Togashi Yoshihiro, the creator of the anime, had to take a long break due to poor health.
Hunter x Hunter Season 7 Release Date
Currently, there’s no update about the confirmed release date for season 7. But the work on the series has commenced. Togashi tweeted about the same thing at the beginning of 2023. He announced the manga’s comeback with Chapter 401, suggesting a seventh season for the anime.

Hunter x Hunter Season 7 can have an episode count between 12 and 20. The previous season ran for 12 episodes. Season 5 was an exception since it continued for 61 episodes.
