Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 release date is currently given as 2022 without any specific month or date. Based on the previous release schedule and Marvel movie slots, Guardians Vol 3 could hit the theaters around May 2022. Before the James Gunn fiasco, Disney had plans to release Guardians of the Galaxy 3 in the summer of 2020 but it was postponed indefinitely.
Although, Disney allowed Gunn to come back and start working on the next Guardians movie only after he was done with DC’s Suicide Squad Reboot. As for the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 trailer, it could come out around Christmas 2021, which is six months before the movie premiere.
