Rockstar has gone silent about the upcoming title, GTA 6 after the huge success of its PlayStation exclusive Read Dead Redemption 2.

Presently Rockstar has not announced any plans for the next titles but fans are interested in the next game from the Grand Theft Auto franchise.
GTA 5 has been the most successful game of all time but it is getting old since it was launched six years ago.
What do we know about GTA 6?
There has a ton of rumours about GTA 6. One rumor came after Rockstar North filed a patent hinting at the code name Agent but the patent filing was later on sacked by the studio.
The massive success of both GTA 5 and GTA Online it is obvious that Rockstar is working on the GTA 6. According to a link on Postbin made by a European developer working on a game for PS5 launch, Grand Theft Auto 6 will be launched in 2020.
The Postbin link argues that since Sony will pay Rockstar for the exclusivity rights of the GTA 6. This would compel the players to buy the Sony PlayStation 5. The post also explains that these right would be exclusive only for a month.
According to the leaks, this is possible since Sony already provided Rockstar with the Sony PS5 devkits. However, there are several problems with this post first being the exclusivity contract.
Sony generally signs a 1-year exclusivity deal. The second problem is the credibility of the leaker. Many people related to the gaming industry have claimed that the devkits are yet to be sent to the developers including Rockstar.
What is the launch date?
Considering the massive success of GTA 5 it is clear that GTA 6 is on its way. However, the launch date might not be that close as suggested in the Postbin link.
According to Michael Pachter, the next Grand Theft Auto game will be released in late 2022.
UPDATE: Rockstar has clarified, GTA 6 is NOT going to be a PS5 exclusive.
