The last episode of Game of Thrones featured the Battle of Winterfell as our heroes fought against the army of the dead. GOT spoiler updates have been raging ever since.

Their efforts saved Westeros from being plunged in an eternal winter because they managed to kill the Night King. But not before losing some of the bravest characters of the show.

Game of Thrones Update: Dothraki army wiped out

Game of Thrones spoiler theory Jon Snow

The first half of Game of Thrones season 8 episode 3 battle seriously had us thinking that we may not win after all. Many people had to lay their lives down to save everyone else. The plan formulated by Jon and Dany fell to shambles early in the episode. This happened when the Dothraki hordes charged into the dead of the night. The white walkers killed them within the first few minutes.

A new theory emerged that suggested that maybe Jon had some other villainous plan hatching. Although it appeared on the surface that Jon tried to fight off as many white walkers as he could, even going so far as trying to kill the Night King himself, yet he kept failing again and again.

The new Game of Thrones spoiler theory suggests that maybe Jon did that so he could wipe out most of Daenerys’ army. That way it was easier for him to take the Iron Throne later on.

That may seem far fetched to fans who have always known Jon as someone with no political ambitions. However, that’s Game of Thrones after all. It wouldn’t be too surprising if that turns out to be true.

Catch the next episode of Game of Thrones on HBO at 9 pm this Sunday.
