Game of Thrones Season 8 is all set to release tomorrow and the fans already have spoiler theories for what will happen next. It seems that Jon Snow is in big trouble and all because of Lyanna Mormont.
In the previous season of Game of Thrones, we saw that Jon Snow defeated Ramsay Bolton to get his family home Winterfell back. He was eventually named King in the North by the northern Lords as he took Ned Stark’s seat. The former Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch chose to protect the northern lands. However, with this came the seal of his death.
One GoT fan came up with the spoiler theory that the northern lords trust Jon only due to the fact that he is Ned’s son and against Targaryens. Even though he has good leadership skills, the primary reason that everyone is supporting him is because of Ned.
Lady Mormont in Game of Thrones Season 6 said,
The northern houses get over the fact that he is a ‘bastard’. I don’t care if he’s a bastard, Ned Stark’s blood runs through his veins.
As per this fan’s theory, everyone will be pretty shocked when they find out that he is a Targaryen and not Ned’s son. It would be interesting to watch their reaction. Would they support Jon Snow after that?
The Northern lords also told him not to sail to Dragon Stone for meeting Dany as Targaryen’s couldn’t be trusted. This was all because of King Aerys’ acts against the Starks. The northerners support Jon as he has proved himself that he is a true northerner.
