GOT S8 Episode 5 is considered as the most horrifying and heartbreaking installment of the show. Daenerys Targaryen finally became the Mad Queen she was destined to be. The Dragon Queen was still not over the death of her handmaiden Missandei and Rhaegal. This was certain from her expressions before she burnt King’s Landing and the innocent people.
Daenerys couldn’t forgive the betrayals of her closest allies. She wanted to take revenge and nothing could have stopped her. Daenerys ignored the surrender calls and the ringing bells. Jon Snow was completely devastated to see her destroy the entire city so brutally. He had put his faith in her and she let her down. Not only him, but Tyrion was also heavily disappointed.
Tyrion had exposed Varys and he died because of him. He placed his faith in the Dragon Queen above his friendship with Varys. All of this to see the innocent people die.
