Game of Thrones Season 8 marks the end of an era. For 7 years now, we have been a part of this epic fantasy world that has everything from violence and drama, to sex and dragons. And now it is all ending.
But before we have to mourn the end of this grand saga, let’s look at the most iconic moments of the show, the seasons that made us laugh and cry at the same time, the episodes that tore our heart out, and the cliffhangers that made us pull out our hair.
Remember, it’s not the end just yet.
Game of Thrones Best Moments
Season 7 saw some of the best moments for Daenerys and Jaime. The battle scene where the Kingslayer charges at Daenerys gave us goosebumps. Daenerys finally landed in Westeros in the premiere, something she has been aspiring to do since the first season.
Nothing will beat the season 5 cliffhanger though. The death of our beloved bastard Jon Snow, followed by a year-long wait to see what happens next surged the fandom’s excitement for the sixth season. Tyrion’s character fleshed out in season 2, and it was truly epic. Who didn’t cheer for him when he slapped Joffrey?
Game of Thrones Worst Moments
The drawn-out torture of Theon in season 3 by the Bolton bastard seemed like gore porn, uncharacteristic for a show as rich as Game of Thrones. The last few episodes of season 6 saw some weak plotlines and a waste of tremendous talent. Case in point, the Dorne plot that did not make any sense in the larger picture.
Another super gross moment is the rape scene in A Storm of Swords. It is completely out of character for both Jamie, and it creeped us out to no end.
Game of Thrones Season 8 is set to premiere on April 14.
