Following the singer’s lengthy Instagram post this week lamenting the effects of her conservatorship, Britney Spears’ fans are worried about their hero.
The 40-year-old singer of “Toxic” petitioned Judge Brenda Penny last year to remove the contentious arrangement, which her father Jamie had put in place in 2008 at the height of her mental health issues.
After more than ten years, Penny eventually ended the arrangement in November.
But even after a few months have passed, Spears is still talking about what is said to have happened when her father was in charge of her personal, financial, and professional affairs.
The singer of “Womanizer” revealed in a since-deleted post that she still cries herself to sleep most nights even though she has been experiencing independence for the better part of a year.

She captioned the post: “It’s crazy… social media… everybody’s life seems so perfect and when I post things I think most of the time I’ve been utterly and completely embarrassed of my past… and who can forget those documentaries.
“So yes, I do try and post me looking my best or what it may seem to be the good life… well, the truth is, my spirits are better but I will forever be traumatized by my past experience for life.”
She added: “There is no way to fix me, my emotions and my sensitivity… therapy, all of it !!! I think I will need some sort of miracle for my emotions.
“I cry myself to sleep most night… I’m insecure as hell… I don’t know how to have good posture unless I’m on camera and I need to go to a school just to be taught how to freaking walk.
“I know you say ‘but you are a performer’… well that’s it !!! It’s an act on stage… in real life I have no clue… and I’m working on that !!!”
Fans were understandably devastated by the news, with one calling it “very unfair.”

One more spoke up to express how “heartbroken” she was by Spears’ post. The user continued, writing: “They killed her spirit, she’s by far the strongest human being on earth, i pray for her happiness. May they all rot in jail.”
