Most of the people in Pirate Nation wouldn’t have thought about it, but now it has become an official decision.
East Carolina Team decided to fire Scottie Montgomery, head coach from the team. Now that with the decision, he will not be the coach for the fourth season in 2019. In a closed meeting that held on Thursday, Montgomery informed the team members that he will not coach the team for the next upcoming season finale.
The last two years of his contract would be canceled, and the head coach’s tenure with the Pirate Nation comes to an end. This happened as the result of three disappointing seasons that happened at the helm of a program. The ECU team has just scored 9-26 and this includes a paltry mark of 4-20 in the American Athletic Conference. These were the scores in the matches that happened after Montgomery was appointed as the head coach of the team in 2016.
