In episode 9, Gyokko will have a transformation of powers, and he will become more powerful, but Muichiro will have no effect from Gyokko’s transformation.
Young Hashira will easily confront Gyokko and showcase his powers to handle the demon. The intense fight drains Muchiro’s energy which makes him completely exhausted, and he cannot move further. Before Kanamori, Muichiro collapses, and he struggles to gain his powers back.

In the meantime, Tanjiro is fighting with Zohakuten, but he is not aware of the real body of Hantengu, which adds up as a suspense element. Later in the episode, Mitsuri saves Tanjiro and showcases his abilities to Zohakuten.
