The farmers in America are having a tough time in order to seek storage for all those crops which had to sell overseas on a usual basis.
Some of the farmers are compelled to leave the produce in the field while it rots and reeks, this being their last resort.
The problem arises due to the on-going trade war between the United States and China.
According to the Reuters, the farmers of several states of the America are compelled into plowing their crops and burying them in the field itself, under the soil.
This is because of the lack of the storage spaces in the storage facilities and is also unable to sell the produce because of the tariffs imposed by China.
The depots and silos of the grains in the United States are almost completely occupied which in other words mean that the farmers are left with no help other than to find solution all by themselves.
The only other option apart from this is to allow the crops to rot. Either of the option is not palatable.
The storage problem is the most acute for the farmers of the soyabeans. With China being the largest importer of soyabeans in the world making up about 60 percent of the exports of the soyabeans of the United States, the huge for the farmers is a big one.
The imposition of taxes by China has affected these farmers a lot as the export of soyabeans from the United States has ceased completely.
According to the Reuters, the data analysed by the Louisiana State University staff have reported that more than 15 percent of the soyabean produce in Louisiana has either being plowed under or has been rotten so that they cannot be sold.
