The 2018 season did not favor the team and it happened exactly different to the thought of Dustin Pedroia. In the entire 2018 season, Boston Red Sox Player was not in the playing list because he had to undergo cartilage restoration surgery in his knee and had some inflammation.
Red Sox has officially announced that Pedroia would not be playing in 2018 season whereas the second baseman said he would be present for 2019.If Pedroia is ready to play in the next season, Red Sox manager Alex Cora has a great plan on him for the opening day.

Pedroia is one of the greatest players of Red Sox for more than ten years and has three rings with Boston. On March 8th, Red Sox opens the 2019 season against Seattle Mariners and home openers (Ring ceremony) will be on April 9 against Toronto Blue Jays
