UFC Fight Night 158 was an interesting event. Justin Gaethje vs Cowboy Cerrone was a fight many of their fans were waiting for – and what an exciting match they got! The match didn’t last for long but it gave the fans all that they wanted. Most importantly – it gave the fans a probable new contender for Conor McGregor’s return!
Conor McGregor’s return has been a much-awaited event and he is likely to face Justin Gaethje now, with whom he had been having a Twitter-war for quite some time.
Conor McGregor ain't winning the rematch against Dustin Poirier and I think would instead wait to call out the winner of Cowboy & Gaethje. #UFCVancouver

What’s Next After UFC Vancouver?
Most fans were expecting Conor McGregor to immediately call out the winner of Cerrone vs Gaethje. However, that hasn’t happened so far. Now the power lies with Dana White to book this match once both the parties are on-board. McGregor, as we know, has been itching to get back but just can’t find the right opponent. Gaethje, on the other hand, is looking forward to facing McGregor.
A match between McGregor vs Gaethje is almost certain to happen – most probably in the December of this year or January next year.
McGregor vs. the Gaethje/Cerrone winner makes perfect sense as the next number one contender fight for the Khabib/Tony winner. But who knows what Conor will do next at this point.

What Went Down at UFC Fight Night 158?
Cerrone vs Gaethje was expected to be a match where the veteran Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone would give Justin Gaethje a tough fight. However, Gaethje’s youth was more effective than the experience of Cerrone as Gaethje hammered his way to a victory by doctor stoppage! The match ended in the first round itself.
