Christian Bale Thanks Satan for Inspiring Dick Cheney Role in Golden Globes Speech

Christian Bale won the Golden Globe award for his role in “Vice” for the role of Dick Cheney. He took time while delivering his acceptance speech.

He thanked Satan for all the inspiration he got to play the role of the former vice president and even called Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Cheney “charisma-free assholes”.

After accepting the Golden Globes award for the category of Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Christian Bale thanked Adam McKay, the director of “Vice”, to cast him for the role of a character who is absolutely charisma free and reviled by everybody. From that instance, he would rule the market for playing the role of such characters.

Bale added :

What do you think, Mitch McConnell next?” Bale quipped before adding: Thank you to Satan for giving me inspiration.

A lot of comments were made on Twitter regarding the moment and the Church of Satan religious movement was also among them. The Church of Satan tweeted,

To us, Satan is a symbol of pride, liberty and individualism, and it serves as an external metaphorical projection of our highest personal potential. As Mr. Bale’s own talent and skill won him the award, this is fitting. Hail Christian! Hail Satan!

Several comments were made by the Twitter users after Christian Gale’s acceptance speech, specially his reference to Satan and his inspiration.
