Akutagawa joins the ship to help Atsushi fight Fukuchi, at Dazai’s request. He defeats them, and they run. Fukuchi immediately catches up, revealing his true strength: Amenogozen, a weapon that can cross dimensions.
Akutagawa, overcome by Amenogozen, appears to slay Atsushi and become Fukuchi’s successor, but he offers him his Rashomon cloak to kill him. Amenogozen travels in time to avert the disaster. Amenogozen cuts Akutagawa’s larynx before Rashomon can strike again.

Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 Episode 3 English Dub will be released on August 9, 2023 (Wednesday). on Crunchyroll only. The subbed episodes of Season 5 began their run on July 12, 2023, while the first episode in the English dub premiered on July 26, 2023. New episodes can be watched online on Crunchyroll. The dub version is two episodes behind the sub.
