Rumer Willis is enjoying every moment she has with her dad.
On Sunday, the actress and her family got together to celebrate Bruce Willis’ 68th birthday. She is expecting her first child with her boyfriend, Derek Richard Thomas.
In a photo on her Instagram Story, the soon-to-be mom-to-be cuddles up to her father, resting her head on his shoulder and putting her hand on his chest while smiling and closing her eyes. The Die Hard actor, who was recently found to have frontotemporal dementia, has his arm around his daughter and seems to be talking to her.
Rumer also posted a sweet tribute to Bruce Willis on Instagram. It showed her mom, Demi Moore (Bruce’s ex-wife), Bruce’s current wife, Emma Heming Willis, and all her sisters singing to him on his birthday. They were Tallulah Willis, 29, Scout Willis, 31, Evelyn Penn, 8, and Mabel Ray, 10.
Happy Birthday Daddio I love you to the 🌙 You are so cool,
Last week, family and friends of the 34-year-old pregnant House Bunny actress and her boyfriend, Thomas, gathered in Los Angeles for a baby shower thrown by mom Demi Moore and her sisters.
Rumer and Thomas performed together at the small event. The mom-to-be wore BUMPSUIT’s The Bianca dress in Ivory and let her curly hair down. They were joined by friends like Peta Murgatroyd, who was also going to be a mom, and Stephanie Shepherd.
Rumer told Peggy Rometo and Kimberly Van Der Beek on their podcast Bathroom Chronicles last month that she always wanted to be a mom.
It’s like one of those weird things that I know sometimes people have such clarity about, like ‘Oh, I want to be a musician, I want this,’ and it was never a question for me that I wanted to be a mom,” she said. “And that just felt like such a divine purpose and something that when I started thinking about it, felt like such joy.
Rumer Willis said that she and Thomas recently talked about her becoming a parent, and she said that she “can’t wait” for the special times she and her baby will have together.
I was talking to my partner the other day and saying, ‘You know, when I go to the farmers market, I call it church because I leave and I feel so excited,’
And the idea of being able to bring my kids in like a little cart or something brings me so much delight, I can’t even … I can’t wait.
