As fans of Naruto Shippuden are aware, Sasuke embarks on a mission of redemption after being cleared by Kakashi, the sixth Hokage. He chose to keep Sakura out of it since he did not want to burden her with his sins. He does, however, pledge to return to her, leaving his unique separation mark of tapping his two fingers on her forehead, inspired by Itachi’s parting gesture.
Even to this date, fans are eager to know how Sasuke and Sakura ended up together.
Kishimoto previously stated that he is not skilled at writing romance, therefore presumably why the Sasu-Saku coupling did not get a detailed storyline. However, after Naruto Shippuden, the light novels of Naruto spin-off, written by Kishimoto himself, mentions the existence of Sasuke and Sakura’s bonding.

Naruto Shippuden Blank Period: Sasuke-Sakura’s Journey Interpreted By Boruto Animator Sekibeing
The Blank Period comes between the end of Naruto Shippuden and the start of Naruto Gaidens. Following the 4th Great Ninja War, Sasuke embarked on his redemption journey. While most people had settled down with their partners, Sakura Haruno yearned to accompany the last Uchiha on his journey.

Recently, a post surfaced on Reddit discussing Sasuke and Sakura’s journey together. Here is a take on how Sakura convinced Sasuke to accompany him on his journey by Boruto Animator Sekibeing after Naruto Shippuden.
Boruto Animator, Sekibeing, stimulated fans’ imaginations during Sasuke and Sakura’s journey in the Blank Period. These images are said to be canon and approved by Masashi Kishimoto.
As most Naruto fans might remember, Naruto and Sasuke lost their arms in the final battle. While Lady Tsunade arranged Hashirama’s cells to regrow Naruto and Sasuke’s arms, Sasuke denied that offer to punish himself. It is interesting to note that, here in the pictures, we see Sasuke using his Susano as his second hand to protect Sakura. This picture itself shows how much Sasuke has changed throughout these years.
Seeing these images brings back memories for Naruto fans, especially those who were robbed of a suitable ending for their favorite couples.
