Here’s what happened in Big Bang Theory Season 12 Episode 15: For a while now, we’ve known that Penny has no desire to become a mother. However, Leonard wants to have kids. This conflict leads to Leonard opting to donate his sperm for the child of Zack and Marissa.

Penny initially agrees to it. However, as the date draws closer she tries to seduce Leonard into having sex with her. Leonard needs to abstain in order to donate healthy sperm.
However, a lot of drama (involving Leonard running to Sheldon’s apartment to avoid being seduced by Penny) later, Leonard agrees that he does not want a child he cannot father himself.
