Bel-Air Season 2 Episode 9 Recap
The episode starts with Vivian yelling at Doc for making money off the Zenith Hype players, which Geoffrey confirms he used to do with a business partner, Lorenzo. The situation escalates, and Will decides to confront Doc face-to-face.
Meanwhile, Connor goes missing, and one of his friends approaches Carlton about it. Drew snitches on Lisa by saying he’s hanging out with Connor again. As Carlton tries to figure out what’s going on, Will speaks to the players, who are hesitant to speak out against Doc, as he is their only source of income.
Will realizes that he trusted Doc too much and feels foolish for investing so much in him. Later, Erika arrives at the Banks household with flowers to clear the air with Vivian. They discuss Erika’s job offer, and Phil accepts the offer to join the firm. It turns out the drop-by with Vivian helped him reconsider.
At Hilary’s party, Lemarcus kisses her cheek, discussing working together without expectations. Carlton tells his mom and Connor that he isn’t on drugs, and Will confronts Carlton. The tension builds up as the episode progresses.
Jackie reveals to Will that the entire Doc/Zenith situation was a ploy to use Phil as an asset. Will realizes he was used, and the revelation hurts him deeply. Phil and Geoffrey confront Doc about running Zenith Hype, and Doc says he needs Phil’s help. He reminds Phil that he got someone out of a gun charge, and every player who played for Doc would be deemed ineligible to play college ball. The story dramatically turns as Doc tries to hold on to his business and reputation.
