Avengers: Infinity War was traumatising for a lot of fans, including us. The 22 film saga had us emotionally attached to many characters and when Thanos snapped his fingers, it wasn’t just some fictional characters that died. A piece of our heart died right then and there.
But fans can rejoice now. Marvel has plans for several characters after the release of Avengers: Endgame, and that indicates that many who perished in the third instalment may after come back in the upcoming film.

Here is a list of all the characters that are rumoured to come back to life, and the theories regarding their return.
Doctor Strange is expected to outlive the fourth film because he saw the one future where Avengers win. His predecessor could not see past a certain point in the future, and that was the moment she died. The Wasp is also expected to live in the next movie because Evangeline Lilly confirmed she shot several scenes for the film with Captain Marvel.
Gamora is definitely not dead, because a third Guardians of the Galaxy instalment is in the works. Tom Holland slipped up and revealed that Spiderman, too, is alive. Nick Fury is expected to appear in the next Spiderman movie, so he is expected to return too.
What we don’t know
However, the fates of Star Lord, Scarlet Witch, Vision, and Falcon are still unknown. And we only have to wait a few more days to find out. The Endgame releases on April 26.
