Just like any other Asian American family, Haijun Si, his wife, and their two little kids have recently become the target of racist attacks. This happened when they moved to San Clemente, California. Everything was great in the beginning but then, the harassment started.
Such an incident was new for this family because they had never experienced any such thing before. So, they didn’t know how to react. On one occasion, Haijun was told to “go back to his country.”
They tried to talk with the teenagers who were harassing them but nothing worked. Then something amazing happened — their new neighbors decided to band together and take a stand …
