Amanda Bynes has been put on psychiatric hold after she was spotted naked and alone walking the streets, as per a source.
An eyewitness says that early Sunday morning, Amanda Bynes was seen walking around downtown Los Angeles without any clothes on. It is said that Amanda Bynes stopped a car and told the driver she was coming out of a psychotic episode. Amanda Bynes then called 911 herself.
The law enforcement sources say Bynes was taken to a nearby police station, where a mental health team decided she needed to be put on a 5150 psych hold.
Sources say that it doesn’t look like Bynes was hurt at all during the whole thing, but things could have been a lot worse given where she was found.
Amanda’s close source said that she is in the hospital right now and will likely stay there for a few more days. A psychiatric hold usually only lasts 72 hours, but it can be made to last longer.
Amanda Bynes’ 9-year guardianship was officially over a little over a year ago, almost to the day. Amanda’s mother has been her guardian since 2013 when it became clear that she was having mental health problems. She was later diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She was sent to a psychiatric ward for treatment after a series of strange things happened, like when she set fire to her neighbor’s driveway and almost burned her dog to death.
This weekend, Amanda Bynes was supposed to go to 90s Con in Connecticut, but she had to miss it because she was sick.
Amanda Bynes seemed to be doing well on her own since the conservatorship ended. However, the most recent event is obviously very worrying, and it’s not clear if her parents or legal team will step in.
