WWE has finally brought back the much-loved and much-appreciated King of the Ring tournament. It is the tournament where several major stars had their ‘break out’ moment. This includes the likes of Brock Lesnar, Edge, Triple H, Stone Cold Steve Austin , Owen Hart and Bret Hart among others. With WWE having brought back the tournament after four years – it would be interesting to see who wins this one!
Let us take a closer look a the participants and their winning odds.
For anyone that knows me, I have been asking for King Of The Ring for 5 years now…
I HOPE #WWE does it right this year. Though I wish it was legitimately a PPV, I guess I can’t complain that they are trying…

King of The Ring 2019 Participants
This time, a total of 16 superstars are participating in the tournament, 8 each from Raw and SmackDown. Of the 16, 4 from each brand will progress into the next round, the next round will be the semi-finals where a total of 2 superstars from each brand will enter and the last two men would face each other at the finals!
The following men are participating in WWE King of the Ring 2019 this year:
- Representing WWE Raw: Cesaro, Samoa Joe, Ricochet, Cedric Alexander, Sami Zayn, Drew McIntyre, The Miz, Baron Corbin
- Representing WWE SmackDown: Kevin Owens, Elias, Ali, Buddy Murphy, Chad Gable, Shelton Benjamin, Apollo Crews, Andrade
I want Andrade to be King of the Ring because:
(a) he is good at wrestling
(b) he deserves it
(c) Zelina as the hand of the king would be amazing

Who is Expected to Win King of the Ring 2019?
While nothing is certain for sure, it appears that the winner is likely to be Kevin Owens, who has been on an anti-authority gimmick of late – and is in a feud with Shane McMahon. WWE is trying to build him as the next Stone Cold Steve Austin and has even given him the stunner as the finisher. It makes sense for him to emulate Austin at another level and win the King of the Ring as well.
