Game of Thrones: Incest over the seasons
From the twin incestuous affair between Jaime and Cersei Lannister to Theon’s attempt to seduce own sister accidentally, incest has always been seen as something that should be abhorred.
Considering all this, it will be interesting to see how the showrunners handle the relationship between Daenerys Targaryen, and her nephew Jon Snow.
With only 3 episodes left in Game of Thrones season 8 and the Night King already defeated, we can expect the relationship between the two to be a major point that will be addressed in the upcoming episodes.
Jon and Dany’s relation
So how exactly are Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen related in Game of Thrones? The story began when Rhaegar Targaryen, the older brother of Daenerys. He annulled his marriage with Ella Martell because he was in love with Lyanna Stark. The couple married in private, and Jon Snow was their son.
To protect him from being executed by Robert Baratheon, Ned Stark took him in as his own bastard. But the truth has been revealed now. Both Dany and Jon are aware of their incestuous relationship. It will be interesting to see how they handle the awkwardness. Not to mention the fact that Jon is now the true heir to the throne.
