Who is Maria Galligani?
Maria Galligani was born in Norway in 1997. She grew up with three siblings: Lara Galligani, Julie Galligani, and Simon Galligani.
According to her LinkedIn page, she studied psychology at Oslo Nye Høyskole from 2017 to 2020. She graduated with a master’s degree in psychology from the University of Southern Denmark in 2022. Additionally, she has experience working for a sports nutrition company.
Maria Galligani & Casper Ruud
Although it is unknown when the pair started dating, Maria Galligani and Casper Ruud made their romance public in 2018. After visiting London and Paris, Ruud shared his first Instagram photo with Galligani that November.
At the Australian Open earlier that year, Ruud made his major event debut, becoming the first Norwegian to earn a spot in the Grand Slam main draw in 17 years. The second round saw his elimination.
She was present in April of 2024 when Ruud won the Barcelona Open. After kissing each other on the court, the pair posed next to the enormous trophy that the tennis player had won.
Casper Ruud frequently shares affectionate pictures of himself and Maria Galligani on Instagram, either to commemorate festivals or from their many travels.
Maria Galligani appears to have a close relationship with Ruud’s sisters, Charlotte and Caroline. She has posed for pictures with the family following Ruud’s victories and has sat with them in his family box at numerous tournaments.
In November 2024, the couple shared the news of their engagement via Instagram. Ruud posted a picture of him and Galligani with the caption,
“Can’t wait to marry you”
