Jessica Paster Talks Being Manhandled By The Police
According to video footage released by Reuters, Jessica Paster appears in a gray sweatshirt and sweatpants while being escorted from the main lobby entrance of The Carlyle Hotel, where many attendees of the Met Gala prepare for the event.
According to Page Six, the stylist was involved in an altercation with police and security, where she was reportedly captured on video saying, ‘I am staying at this hotel.’
Jessica Paster, who has styled notable Met Gala guests, including Olympian Simone Biles, Quinta Brunson, and Miranda Kerr, recounted the incident to Page Six, claiming that the authorities ‘physically mishandled’ her.
She added,
“I listened to people. They said go through the service door and when I did, they said go back to the lobby. And all of a sudden they attacked me, they manhandled me.”
Jessica Paster indicated that she was in severe pain and felt fortunate that she didn’t break her arms following the incident. She mentioned that she had displayed a wristband to the police, designed to provide her entry to the hotel, but asserted that they overlooked it.
