Jazmine Sullivan was born on April 9, 1987, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her mother, Pam Sullivan, is a former backup singer who worked with Philadelphia International Records. Jazmine’s parents are Don and Pam Sullivan.
She completed her education at the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts, where she participated in choirs and had the opportunity to perform with Stevie Wonder at the age of 13.
At 15, she signed a contract with Jive Records, but unfortunately, she was released before any album could be produced.

Jazmine Sullivan’s first album, titled Fearless, was launched on September 23, 2008. During this period, she was actively involved in writing and composing a significant number of tracks, and she also took on the role of executive producer for the album, collaborating with Missy Elliott, Salaam Remi, and Peter Edge.
The production team included notable names such as Elliott, Remi, Stargate, Carvin & Ivan, Jack Splash, and Fisticuffs. Following her debut single, Sullivan released the second single from Fearless, “Bust Your Windows,” which achieved notable success.
