Angela Sarafyan, also known as Angela Sarafian, is an actress with Armenian-American heritage. Her notable film appearances include On the Doll (2007), A Beautiful Life (2008), A Good Old Fashioned Orgy (2011), and Lost & Found in Armenia (2012). She is recognized for her portrayal of Clementine Pennyfeather in the series Westworld (2016–22).
Early Life & Education
Angela Sarafyan was born in Yerevan, Armenian SSR, in the Soviet Union, eight years ahead of Armenia’s independence.
At the age of four, she moved to the United States with her parents—her father, actor Grigor Sarafyan, and her mother, a painter—and they settled in Los Angeles.
In her early years, she studied ballet and played the piano. She went on to attend Francisco Bravo Medical Magnet High School in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles.

Angela Sarafyan‘s debut acting role was in the CBS legal drama Judging Amy, where she appeared in the episode called “Culture Clash” in 2000. Afterward, she made a cameo appearance in the music video for the song “Stronger” by Britney Spears.
Sarafyan advanced her television career with roles in The Shield, The Division, Wanted, South of Nowhere, 24, CSI: NY, Lincoln Heights, Cold Case, In Plain Sight, and The Mentalist.
She also participated in the 2007 films Kabluey and On the Doll. In 2008, Sarafyan starred in her first principal role as Maggie in the drama film A Beautiful Life, opposite Jesse Garcia. Additionally, she had a minor part as Mary in The Informers.

Between 2016 and 2022, Angela Sarafyan portrayed the character Clementine Pennyfeather in the HBO science-fiction series Westworld. In March 2024, it was disclosed that Angela Sarafyan had been cast in the action thriller G20, which is produced by and features Viola Davis. In 2025, Safaryan made a cameo as Lara, the mother of Superman, in the DC Universe film Superman.
