This announcement came after his loss against Anthony Smith at UFC Fight Night 153. After a match in his home town in Sweden, Gustafsson took off his gloves and declared it to the world: the show is over!

Gustafsson Retires: Reason for His Retirement

After the show ended, Alexander Gustaffson took off his gloves and declared that he is retiring from MMA. He made an official statement in the post-match press conference where he stated that it is pretty much a “done deal.”

Over the years, Gustaffson managed to have a record of 10-6 in the UFC and an overall MMA record of 18 wins and 6 losses.
