The Sims 5 release date has not been announced by EA and Maxis but most of the fans were hoping that the game would come out in 2020. It has been more than five years since The Sims 4 came out and the next game should be ready for the launch as per the scheduled timeline.

The Sims 5 Release Date and TS4 Expansions
The Sims 5 should have come out in 2019 as EA has been launching a new Sims game every 5 five years and TS4 came out in 2014. There were also speculations that “The Sims 5” could release in 2020 as the Sims game series will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year. But most of the speculations will prove to be wrong as the makers are having some other plans for the future of the life simulation game.

EA developers are hinting that new TS4 content is on the way and new expansion packs will be released even through 2021. The Sims 5 is unlikely to come out in 2020 as there is no way EA-Maxis would launch a new game while the current version is still expanding. The next possible release date for “The Sims 5” is likely to be somewhere in 2022 which will give the devs enough time to wrap everything from the previous game.
The Sims 5 Features and Gameplay Rumors
The Sims 5 gameplay would see a lot of cool new features and upgrades, including bringing back some previous game options. EA CEO Andrew Wilson has hinted that the next Sims game will have online multiplayer options similar to The Sims Online.
Maxis is also developing The Sims 5 for a new generation and it will support cloud gaming along with social media interaction. There are also rumors that “The Sims 5″ will support the next-gen consoles such as PS5, Xbox Series X and even Nintendo Switch.
