The house judiciary committee attested google CEO Sundar Pichai this week regarding the anti- conservative bias. In the hearing Zoe Lofgren a Californian representative asked Pichai that why the name of Donald Trump does appear when anybody googles “idiot”, the google CEO broke down the reason for it.
The CEO replied that the google search works on the system key word. The google takes a key word and compare the use of the key word in different web pages. The factors like freshness, popularity, and relevancy and how and where do people use it. Then the raters from google rate the key word based on more than 200 signals.
Pichai also added that, google surveys billions of web sites based on many factors. The authority of the website relies on the important factors which the searcher looks for. Lofgren added that google has a team of quality of raters which don’t allow unauthorized web pages to be surfed.
