Will there be Episode 10 of The Last of Us?
The show was originally supposed to consist of ten episodes, however, the execs at HBO decided that they would instead have a nine episode season with a longer episode 1.
The finale of The Last of Us Season 1 aired on 12 March 2023. The fans were shocked by how Joel was ready to risk the entire humanity to save Ellie. Even though the ending of Season 1 was shocking, it was definitely for the best.

The show has already been renewed for another season. Fans will have to wait till the release of The Last of Us Season 2 as there is no tenth episode in Season 1. The Last of Us Season 1 concluded with Episode 9.
When will The Last of Us Season 2 release?
HBO wants all its shows to be perfect, especially when it comes to the popular ones. So there is definitely no hurry in the release of The Last of Us Season 2. In fact, the next seasons of House of the Dragons and Euphoria will also release after a gap of almost two years after their previous seasons.

HBO has already made the mistake of rushing the season once with Game of Thrones finale. It won’t make the same mistake again. A lot is happening in The Last of Us second game. The creative team will make the best out of everything that is available.
