Early Life & Education
Tamron Hall was born on September 16, 1970, in Luling, Texas. Her mother worked as an educator, while her father had a long-standing career in the military, serving in the US Army for thirty years.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Temple University in 1992, subsequently relocating to the Dallas-Fort Worth region to launch her broadcasting career.

After serving as a general assignment reporter at KBTX in Bryan, Texas, Hall transitioned to KTVT in Fort Worth in 1994, taking on the same role.
In 1997, she joined WFLD-TV in Chicago, where she worked for a decade as a consumer reporter, general assignment reporter, and the host of ‘Fox News in the Morning.’
In July 2007, Tamron joined NBC News and MSNBC, interviewing Barack Obama before he declared his candidacy for president.
