Fans are eagerly waiting for Season 2 of Tales of the City. Those who binge watched the Netflix Original series’ each episode are waiting to know if there would be another season or not?

The show has been a hit among the viewers and many watched all the episodes quickly after its release. It has been a success and many are waiting for its second season to be confirmed. But there are some clues which suggest that this may not happen.
Will the fans get to watch Season 2 of Tales of the City?
Netflix has not given a green nod to the second instalment of Tales of the City yet. The first season came out on 7 June only, so it only makes sense to wait for some more time. The streaming service can take from a few weeks to some months for making its decision regarding a show’s renewal.
Netflix has described it as a limited series and the show’s future doesn’t look so good. This probably suggests that the show won’t get a nod for another season. The original TV adaptation of 1993 starred Emmy nominee Chloe Webb and Oscar winner Olympia Dukakis and ran for one season only.
But if there is a confirmation of another season, there is wide scope for the development of the series. Tales of the City is based on several books written by Armistead Maupin. The novel series include the following titles:
