Early Life & Education
Erdenetuya Seagal originally hailed from Choir, Govsumber, Mongolia, and eventually relocated to the United States. Uree Batsukh is her father’s name. During her early years, she primarily resided with her grandparents after her mother departed at only five months old to pursue her education.
After attending a joint Mongolian-German school and Metuchen High School, the Mongolian dancer graduated with honors from the National University of Mongolia in 2002. She also completed a professional development course at Keio University in Japan before joining ISU School to train as a professional dancer.
Career
Batsukh’s love for dance blossomed in her early years and she began honing her skills at the ‘Children’s Palace’ in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Upon completing her education at ‘Children’s Palace’ and high school, she decided to pursue a professional dancing career. Her dedication and talent in ballroom dance propelled her to become one of the leading female dancers in Mongolia.
Aside from her career as a dancer, Erdenetuya Batsukh has achieved success in numerous dancing competitions throughout Mongolia and its surrounding areas.
In addition, she has utilized her language skills as an interpreter and also served as Steven Seagal’s assistant for five years. Her debut in the acting world was in 2019 when she landed the role of Tuya Alexander in the film General Commander.
In addition, she served as an interpreter for her husband Steven while he was in Mongolia for a film project. Subsequently, she took on the role of his assistant for almost five years until she married Steven.
Personal Life
In 2002, Elle and Steven’s paths crossed for the first time in Mongolia. Steven had traveled to the country to film a movie and there he met Erdenetuya Batsukh, who acted as his translator.
The two quickly developed a strong connection and eventually tied the knot in a small, intimate wedding ceremony in 2009, attended only by their closest loved ones. Their union also brought forth a son, Kunzang Seagal, who was born on September 17, 2009.
Before meeting Erdenetuya, Steven had been married three times. His first marriage was to Miyako Fujitani, but they eventually split. He then went on to marry actress Adrienne La Russa, but their relationship also came to an end.
Steven was also previously married to American actress Kelly LeBrock from 1987 to 1996. Together, they have three children: Arissa LeBrock, Annaliza, and Dominic Seagal.
