Animal Crossing: New Horizons has sold over 1.88 million copies in just three days as it is a Nintendo IP. It will surely ring a bell to the ears of the simulation game makers to create a title compatible with the Switch console. EA knows if they make The Sims 5 available on Nintendo Switch they will get more than 52 million users who can purchase their game.

The Switch owners love simulation games and the massive success of New Horizons is proof of that. The only problems would be the technical aspects and space requirements as The Sims 4 already takes 13GB of free size plus additional storage for expansion packs. The Sims 5 will obviously be bigger and it means EA and Maxis have to compress the size without affecting the gameplay quality. It means that fans who are looking forward to play TS5 of Nintendo Switch would have to wait a bit longer.

The Sims 5 released date in 2020 now looks impossible as there is no trailer or announcement on the game. EA and Maxis are working on a new Sims title but it would take some more time for the game development.
