Shameless Season 9 is ready to bid farewell to Emmy Rossum (Fiona Gallagher), its lead star. The actress made her final appearance in the episode aired on 10 March. However, the goodbye dreaded by the fans won’t happen until after the finale season. The next season is likely to be aired in September this year.
The official streaming schedule for Shameless Season 9 is not out yet. However, looking at the previous seasons of the show, we can assume that the next season will be out by September. The previous seasons of the show were made available on Netflix after a six months’ difference.
For instance, Shameless Season 8 of the show ended last January on Showtime and it was made available on Netflix by July 2018.
Meanwhile, Rossum said that the fans will find her final episode quite moving. There may be chances of her guest appearance in future. Rossum gave the hint about her final scene also which will be with her onscreen dad, William H. Macy.
Several things will be left unclear regarding the relationship of Frank with his kids. The other things will become clear even though nothing is said.
Shameless Season 9 will see a bittersweet moment between Cameron Monaghan (Ian Gallagher) and Fiona (Rossum). Monaghan didn’t get a proper chance to bid farewell to Fiona at the end of season 8.
He will get that chance in the finale season. Further, he will step up to lead Season 10 of the series. The show has already been renewed for another season.
