Rachel Campos-Duffy was born on October 22, 1971. Her childhood was spent in Tempe, Arizona, with her father, Miguel Campos, her mother, Maria del Pilar, and her three siblings, Patrick, Joseph, and Leah Campos Schandlbauer.

Her parents were employed as teachers at a junior high school. On the other hand, her sister previously held a position as a CIA operations officer before deciding to run for Congress in Arizona in 2012.

After completing her studies at Seton Catholic Preparatory High School, Rachel pursued her academic journey at Arizona State University and earned a degree in economics in December 1993.

Rachel received the Woodrow Wilson Graduate Fellowship with the intention of using it to pursue a graduate degree and achieve her goal of becoming a college professor. She completed her master’s degree in international affairs at the University of California, San Diego.

Career

In January 1994, Rachel Campos-Duffy rose to fame after being selected to appear on “The Real World San Francisco.” She resided in a house on Russian Hill with six other roommates, and her strong Republican beliefs often caused tension and disagreements among them, as portrayed on the show and in MTV’s advertisements.

Campos-Duffy joined the cast of “Road Rules: All Stars” in 1998 and it was there that she first encountered her future spouse, Sean Duffy from the “Real World: Boston” series. In 2003, Rachel was among the 10 former “Real World” members to feature in the movie “The Wedding Video”.

Rachel Campos-Duffy was a cast member of the TV show “Life Is Like” from 2007 to 2008. She was also a co-host on “The View” from 2003 to 2014 and a panelist on “Cashin’ In” from 2016 to 2017. Additionally, Rachel co-hosted “Outnumbered” starting in 2014 and began co-hosting “Fox & Friends” in the same year.

Campos-Duffy appeared as a guest on numerous episodes of “Hannity,” “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” “The Ingraham Angle,” “The Fox News Specialists,” “Lou Dobbs Tonight,” and other shows before officially joining as a co-host on “Fox & Friends Weekend” in May 2021.

Campos and her Road Rules: All Stars co-star, Sean Duffy, tied the knot and settled down in Ashland, Wisconsin in 1999. Duffy served as the District Attorney of Ashland County while Campos pursued other endeavors.

In 2011, Sean Duffy switched gears and entered the political realm as a Republican representative for Wisconsin’s 7th district.

In late 2011, the Duffys relocated from Ashland to Weston, Wisconsin. Two years later, in 2013, they made another move to Wausau, Wisconsin for Sean to have easier access to an airport for his regular trips to Washington, D.C. where he spent three to four days per week.

In 2008, Rachel Campos-Duffy shared that she experienced two miscarriages. By May 2016, they were parents to eight children. Their ninth child, a daughter, was born prematurely in 2019 and has Down syndrome.

Because of the baby’s expected health challenges, including a heart condition, Duffy declared his resignation from Congress on September 23, 2019, to prioritize his family.
