“My first impression of practice yesterday is it’s a lot different than college, just the adjustment to the speed, especially the guys on the edge. Yesterday was a rough one, but today was a little bit better.”

“Switching to right, it’s getting a little bit easier every day,”
he noted. “It’s a lot different from last week when we were just going against air. Now I have guys in front of me.”

Fortunately for Fautanu, he is not navigating these challenges alone. The Steelers have fostered an environment of mentorship and support, with veteran players taking an active role in his development.
“I’m learning a lot from these guys, especially Dan (Moore Jr.), Broderick (Jones), everybody in the room, Isaac (Seumalo). They’re all kind of taking me under their wing and helping me out.”
This support is crucial for any rookie, and Fautanu’s ability to learn from seasoned professionals may accelerate his growth from a promising first-round pick to a reliable starter on the offensive line.

“I’m just trying to learn as much as I can,”
