The makers are constantly teasing the fans by releasing new footage which hints towards the upcoming episodes. This time they have come up with Rick and Morty playing a new video game and discussing it. Here is the new footage description and how it is connected to season 4 of the show.
Trover Saves the Universe in Rick and Morty footage
Last week, a new game titled Trover saves the universe was released on Sony PlayStation 4. The makers of Rick and Morty decided to promote the new video while also being promoting their own TV show. The YouTube thumbnail of the video contains a fake text just to mess with the viewers, and also there is a warning at the beginning for the explicit language used in the one and a half minute.
Rick and Morty are playing the game in which an evil monster steals dogs from common people, and put them in their eye socket. The monster named Glarkon uses their life force to destroy the universe. The co-creator for the game Trover saves the universe and the show is the same person.
The Meta Connection
While we all know that Justin Roiland voices both the characters of Rick and Morty, he is also the main creator of this game. In the video, Rick says that all the character in the game sounds the same to him, thus going totally meta. He further states that everyone sounds like Justin Roiland and it looks like the team of Adult Swim has voiced the game. It is an excellent attempt at humor and shows the upcoming craziness in Rick and Morty Season 4.
