My Hero Academia Chapter 390 is set to release next week. The upcoming chapter is getting released after a long break. The creators confirmed the delay was due to some production issues, and Kohei Horikoshi’s health was not the reason.
The raw scans, spoilers, and rough translations are all surfacing on Twitter. However, fans seem to be disappointed with the upcoming chapter. Why is that so?
My Hero Academia Chapter 390: Is the chapter disappointing?
Fans were excited that Chapter 390 would finally concentrate on Dabi, bringing his story arc to an end, and Touya to be reincarnated with the help of Eri’s Rewind Quirk or some other abilities after Chapters 190 and 290 heavily focused on him.
However, the new chapter titled “Shoto Todoraki” hints about what to expect in the upcoming chapter.

My Hero Academia Chapter 390 will mainly cover the confrontation between Shoto and Dabi. While Shoto and Dabi are both in bad shape, it is unlikely that Shoto will die.
The chapter starts with Teniya Iida’s Engine Quirk failing with the mufflers bursting and shredding apart. Shoto’s classmate activated the Phosphor to fly off as soon as Iida mentioned that he could carry Shoto only up to this.
With flashbacks right in the next scene where Shoto’s letters to his mother state that he is trying to catch up to his classmates. With this, Shoto reaches Dabi’s location and wishes to say a lot to his brother.
The next chapter will likely be covering Shoto and his improved powers using The Great Glacial Aegir and the intense battle between the two brothers coming to an end.

With the Todoraki family drama being the next focus, Dabi fans are disappointed with his supposed death and not concentrating enough on him. Fans are hoping Touya to reincarnate somehow in the upcoming My Hero Academia Chapter 390.
