Motorola is among the best names when it comes to providing timely updates. 
With Android 9.0 (Android Pie) being the latest Android OS, let us take a closer look at the Android Pie update schedule for Motorola smartphones. For those who own Motorola smartphones, the good news is that Motorola Android Pie updates have already started to roll out as of January 2019.
Moto G, Moto X, and Moto Z are the three primary series of smartphones that Motorola produces every year. All the devices in these series of smartphones will be getting the Motorola Android Pie update.
Motorola Android Pie Update: Confirmed Devices
The following Motorola Z-series smartphones are confirmed to get the Android 9.0 OS update in the months to follow:

- Motorola’s X-series smartphone, the Moto X4 would also be getting the Android Pie OS update.
Another series of smartphones which would get the Motorola Android Pie update is the Moto G series of smartphones. Would Other Motorola Smartphones Get the Android Pie Update?
As of now, these are the only names that Motorola has confirmed to be getting the Android Pie Update. However, it is likely that other (recently released) smartphones such as the Motorola One smartphones would also get this OS update.
Moreover, older premium devices such as the previous generations of Moto Z smartphones might also get this update.
However, Motorola is yet to confirm this as well. Even when it comes to the phones that the company has named, no time-frame for the Android Pie update has been specified.
