Megan Ann Moroney was born on October 9, 1997, in Savannah, Georgia, and has a brother named Connor, who is now a lawyer. Growing up in a musically inclined family in Douglasville, Georgia, she developed a passion for country music during her childhood and took up piano lessons.
Moroney completed her education at Robert S. Alexander High School, where she was active in cheerleading and musical theater. Later, she pursued an accounting degree at the University of Georgia in Athens and became a member of the Kappa Delta sorority.

While attending college, Megan Moroney opened for Jon Langston at a concert and interned with Kristian Bush of Sugarland. After graduating, she moved to Nashville in 2020 to kickstart her music career.
Keeping in touch with Bush proved beneficial, as he introduced her to various songwriters. In 2021, she launched her first single ‘Wonder,’ which was followed by an extended play titled Pistol Made of Roses. Her subsequent single, ‘Tennessee Orange,’ came out in 2022, with Bush as the producer.
