Who is Alejandra Silva?
Alejandra María Silva García-Baquero is a Spanish political activist and publicist who was born on February 16, 1983, in A Coruña.
Her father, Ignacio Silva, is a businessman and former vice president of Real Madrid Football Club. After interning at Madrid’s The Farm advertising agency, Silva took a sales and marketing job with a private airline company in 2005.
Career
Together with Karolina Kurkova, Alejandra Silva created the Beautiful Life Fund, a nonprofit organization, in 2007. The organization promotes awareness of the predicament of underprivileged children, troubled refugee children, and war victims and the education of homeless children worldwide.
She took part in the Real Madrid Football Club Foundation African Initiative Project in 2010. Silva established soccer leagues to help integrate impoverished youngsters into their communities and promote sports and its values among African families.
Silva got to know American actor Richard Gere through her passion for nonprofits, and they started dating. As of 2016, Silva still supports The Rais Foundation for the Homeless and is an activist for charitable organizations. She appeared on the cover of Hola! Fashion in 2016.
Personal Life
In December 2012, Silva gave birth to her son with her first husband, Govind Friedland, who was a mining tycoon. However, in 2015, the couple decided to go their separate ways.
Later on, Alejandra Silva was romantically involved with longtime family friend and American actor Richard Gere. In April 2018, she and Gere tied the knot at Gere’s Pound Ridge, New York, residence.
When it came to her romance with the Pretty Woman star, Alejandra Silva claimed she felt the cosmos was on her side. In 2015, the activist informed Hola! that Gere had been a family friend and that they had been acquainted for more than ten years. Silva claimed that when they reconnected years later, they were instantly drawn to one another.
Early in February 2019, the couple gave birth to a son. Silva was said to have given birth to a second son in April 2020.
